The pungent leaves of basil are delicious in tomato, cheese, egg and fish dishes. Remove the weakest plants. Water regularly. To stimulate branching, pinch off stem ends when they reach 6" (15cm) tall. Can be picked anytime for fresh use. Dry quickly to lock in flavor. Can be planted indoors Annual.

Preparation ideas : Always add it just before serving to cooked dishes, as its flavor diminishes with cooking.
